A Time to Heal Massage Therapy

Self Care

Often your massage therapist will suggest you do a little on your own to keep from getting so tight. Here are some suggestions:

Use heat if you feel tense, use cold if you feel sore. If you need a corn bag, ATTH has them for sale in office, or you can purchase them directly from Lavender Dreams.

Stretch! Check out this video for some ideas on stretching your lower back, glutes, and hamstrings. Search YouTube for tutorials on other body regions.

Use a hot tub, or hot bath, for a full body relaxation using hydrotherapy as a technique. Immerse yourself and let the heat relax your muscles.

Aromatherapy can help relieve pain, tension, and allow you to relax. * Please only use as directed by A CERTIFIED AROMATHERAPIST. There are a lot of direct sales people right now who are third party sellers giving advice that is in their corporate sales book. It is not all safe or correct. Do not ingest essential oils. Do not place them directly on your skin from the bottle. Always mix them in a lotion, oil, or water first before using.

Try chiropractic care to adjust your spine (and therefore your spinal nerves) back into place. Viafore Family Chiropractic is at 11 Townsend Street every Friday. Call 607-746-8999 to make an appointment.
